overview
Melbourne Pregnancy and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy (MPPP) was founded in 2017 in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Due to the recent pandemic, more and more clients were moving towards online health appointments or “Telehealth” as an alternative to attending appointments in person.
MPPP saw the opportunity to launch a “spin off” Telehealth service that expands their clientele beyond their regular reach of west Melbourne, aiming to treat patients all around Australia.
Online Pelvic Physio forms the basis of an online service providing management of pelvic floor conditions, pregnancy related aches and pains and lymphedema of the upper limb entirely via a secure video based online platform — all from the comfort of your own home.
solution
The Design Clinic were initially engaged to develop a brand identity for the new platform — Online Pelvic Physio. The project lent itself to a bigger job with the client wanting both brands to be visually consistent. The team set out to rebrand MPPP before tackling OPP which led to a refreshing use of new fonts, an updated colour palette whilst still keeping the brands original peach colour, and a new icon. OPP shared these nuances, using the same fonts and similarities in the symbol, but with a colour palette that reflected their online audience.
The symbol became the highlight of both brands, creating a consistent visual identity. Both icons mimic a well balanced shape that is broken into semi circles to reflect the brands services and clientele. The semi circles are intended to represent a pregnant woman as well as represent the shape of a pelvic floor without being too literal.
